Saint Spyridon of Trimythous, the Wonderworker (Greek: Σπυρίδων, ca. 270–348), was a fourth-century bishop who participated in the First Ecumenical Council. In the island Corfu, where his relics are preserved and honored, he is called the “Keeper of the City” (Greek: ο πολιούχος) and is celebrated as the island’s patron saint.
